Summer Lunchtime Concert Series

Downtown Berkeley BART plaza
This concert series features musicians from two unique schools in Downtown Berkeley, The Jazzschool and Capoeira Arts Café. This week, the Capoeira Arts Cafe will feature professional music artists and performers from Brazil, who will offer a Brazilian Music and Dance Show. This concert is free. This event is co-sponsored by the Downtown Berkeley Association, Berkeley Daily Planet, Korman & Ng, and BART.

The commission will hear a recommendation to increase the Director and Deputy Director of Library Services Salary Ranges as part of the Confidential Executive and Management Pay Plan, and will revise the personnel classification to reflect the departmental name change to Human Resources.
Housing Advisory Commission

The commission will discuss and act on the revised ABAG determination of housing needs, as well as on the newly approved housing enabled by the partnership program. Also, there will be a status report on the Housing Trust Fund, among other items on the agenda.
Public Works Commission

The committee will discuss street sweeping plans, including what was learned from public hearings, and will come up with a new recommendation and possibly new steps, and will also discuss the membership of the Undergrounding Subcommittee and the Undergrounding Task Force.
