Karen Rose, who serves on Berkeley’s Commission on Disabilities and is blind, tests an audio voting system that may soon replace punch cards in this county. The system, already tested in March ,would make it easier for the blind to vote without help. At right is Deborah Seiler, of Global Electronic Voting Systems, the company that designed the machine.
