Flinging anecdotes

To the Editor: 

 

The KPFA evening newsperson last week, interviewing an expert about the Iraqi government purchase of a million units of nerve gas anti-toxin – was it for offensive or defensive purchases, etc. – kept pronouncing it – clearly and carefully, as she had been coached, as “nerve gas anecdotes”. That's the way to fight a war – let's fling anecdotes at each other.
