Memorial service set

A memorial service for noted Berkeley historian and author Tertius Chandler, 85, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Grace North Church, 2138 Cedar St. 

Father Richard Mapplebeck-Palmer will officiate. Mr. Chandler, who ran in up to 8 kilometer races until his death, died May 17 after being struck by a car while crossing Shattuck Avenue at Virginia Street on April 24. Police are investigating the accident.
