New: End the Siege: Gaza Needs Urgent Global Action

The crisis in Gaza has reached catastrophic proportions. On May 22, Israeli military forces escalated their offensive, killing at least Palestinians and displacing thousands more following renewed evacuation orders. Even hospitals are not spared — Gaza’s Health Ministry reports that Israel bombed fuel tanks and power generators at the Indonesian Hospital and surrounded Al-Awda Hospital. Of Gaza’s 38 hospitals, only 19 remain partially functional.

A humanitarian disaster is rapidly unfolding. After 11 weeks of siege, only 100 aid trucks have entered Gaza — a negligible number compared to the 9,000 still blocked at the border. U.N. officials warn that mass starvation is imminent, with starving children waiting hours at community kitchens for a single meal. One child, Mais, described waiting since early morning only to go without food.

In the West Bank, Israeli forces even fired at a group of foreign diplomats visiting the Jenin refugee camp. Such actions have drawn global condemnation.

The international community must not remain silent. These are not just numbers — they are human beings. The U.S., by continuing to arm Israel, is complicit in this tragedy. The world must demand an immediate end to the siege, international accountability, and reparations to rebuild Gaza. Innocent lives — including babies — are being slaughtered. This barbarity must end.
